Son gave me a new MSI NGTX-460 Cyclone for my 3 month old HPE-450t. Power Supply too weak - came with HD 4850. Need to purchase new PS for him to change out and install new card. Understand the Corsair HX650 PSU is a good fit. Change out in late July.
He also gave me a eVGA 8800 GT 1 GB AKIMBO graphics card that he thinks should run with the stock power supply until he arrives to u/g PS. Anyone know for sure or not for sure if this specific 8800GT will fit and run in stock 450t?

Thanks.

RayMar, the only specs that I can find for the 8800 GT (See "Details" in the link.) show that it requires 400W to run properly. This is considerably more than the 300W PSU in the computer. You can always give it a try. It won't do any harm. It simply won't work if it is under powered. I couldn't find the length of the card anywhere. For the life of me, I can't understand why all manufacturers don't give all of the specs in their ads. The only manufacturer that is consistant in this area is XFX.

Thanks for the reply. I looked for the physical size and could only come up with . .(Toms Hardware Q & A)
According to the dimensions at eVGA the 8800GT is 9" long and 4.376" n height. There are no dimensions on width, but mine doesn't look any wider than any other video card.
Best comparison I can give you is it's just about an inch shorter than a GTX.
