My HP Computer DVD/CD-ROM Drives "cddvdw sh-216aln" no longer works on my computer.  Is there a fix for this?

 

The error code I get in my Device Manger for my DVD/CD-ROM Drives is: Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Hi:

 

One of the resolution steps, 2, 3, 4 or 5 should fix the problem.

 

Try them in order until you find the one that fixes it.
