I received a shiny new d5100t desktop PC with Vista 64 bit Home Premium last week. Everything works fine and I'm very pleased overall.
The computer came with a 750GB SATA hard disk. The factory install split this into two partitions (C: 700 GB and D: 11GB) [approximate figures]
I want to partition the 700 GB C: into 3 partitions like this - C: 300 GB, E: 200 GB, F: 200 GB
I used the logical disk manager that comes in Vista to shrink C:. It allowed me to shrink C: by 100 GB; this 100GB space I renamed as E:. So, now I have -
C: 600 GB, E: 100GB, D: 11 GB
Vista is not showing me an option to shrink C:further. Perhaps because the partition is being used as a page file. However, in task manager, the page file seems to be rather small (around 20 GB or so if I recall correctly; definitely not larger than 50 GB). So I don't know why I cannot partition the 600GB space.
Question
-------------
Is it possible to partition C:? If so, how?
Thanks,
Ramesh
