I have a BFG Geforce 8400 GS graphics card installed. Today I went to check to see if there where any driver updates. There were and I updated my driver. The update went off with out a hitch and I have seen no ill effects of the update as of now. My question is: when I rechecked my windows experience index base score, it said there was new hardware to refresh the index. So I did. My problem is that my graphics score went down instead of up. It went from a 4.1 to a 4.0, one tenth of a point is no big deal. Just odd that it should go down instead of up. Any thoughts out there.

The new drivers installed more software and hardware support using more resources. 1/10th is good. I have seen peoples Windows Experience go from 4.0to 3.5 just from adding a bigger faster and hotter running video card but the increased speed gain for playing online games was worth the hit.
