Re: how do I remove a stuck screw

Hi,

Sory to hear that. Normally you can remove it with pliers on the side of the screw...very carefully. It all depends where it is. Be sure to remove the power cord while attempting this. Also be sure you remove all metal shavings before you turn it on again.

regards,

Re: how do I remove a stuck screw

RB, there are many types of screw removers.  You may have to look online for one that is small enough to work with your laptop.  I have a set that I bought from Sears.  It has a size that may work.  You do have to take extra care not to break something, however.

Re: how do I remove a stuck screw

I have had success using Crazy glue on the end of the screwdriver or on the screw and holding the screwdriver steady in the screw till the glue goes solid.

Re: how do I remove a stuck screw

The smallest I found was 3/16s, which would be too large for this. Do you know if there is a smaller one available?

Re: how do I remove a stuck screw

I had to cut the head off and then use needle nose to remone the shaft of it. Luckly i can use one from the case to replace it since there are 8 screws thet hold the two case ha;ves together.
