how do i find my usb version on desktop

I have three different sets of USB ports on my HP Pavilion HPE (Model h8-1070t) desktop. I would like to know how to tell what version they are. I can't find this information on the HP site and have no idea where the original paperwork is as I've moved recently. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: how do i find my usb version on desktop

Hi:

The info is very sketchy even on the support page.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02854392&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5115724#N354

According to the configurable options the front 2 ports should be usb 3.0.

The 4 on the back may only be usb 2.0

The visual way to check is the plastic bar inside the port is blue on usb 3.0 ports and black on usb 2.0 ports.

Front Productivity PortsMust select one of the following options:

  • 15-in-1 card reader + Top I/O (2 USB 3.0 + 1 headphone jack + 1 microphone jack) + Front I/O (2 USB 2.0)
  • 15-in-1 card re4ader + Top I/O (2 USB 3.0 + 1 headphone jack + 1 microphone jack) + Front I/O (4 USB 2.0)
