hp m7580n hard drive

my computer's hard drive crashed then I got another 1 and the hard drive won't show up in bios or when trying to put is back on it I tried hard drive in a Compaq and it showed up so what's wrong

Sorry your experiencing this problem. Maybe I can help.

 

Hard Drive is not detected and re-setting the BIOS. It's more than 1/2 way down the page.

I have already did this is it posble the motherboard is bad I can see in the bios the cd/DVD drivers and the 4 memory chips are seen

the ide plug saw the hhd in bios but not in the sata plugs so i guess a new motherboard is need but i do have it running for now
