Have you fixed your hp's power problem since then? I have the same computer as yours. My power supply too turned off today. I opened it and cleaned all the dust, yet the power as well as fan does not turn on. Did you buy the power supply? Where did you find it? Please help me how to fix my power problem of HP Media Center PCm7160n. Thank you!! MGN

While you responded to a "stale" post, here ya go.
Standard HP guideline for PSU:
Open the case, and observe the light on the back of the PSU and then press the power button.
Was the light "ON", and the went out? Did the CPU fan or case fan jiggle (just slight bit)?
The stock PSU (5188-0129) is here:http://www.power-on.com/ea350u.html Please note the pinouts/plugs, and the measurements.
There is PSU guideline that has been posted:
To say THANK YOU, press the white star on the left, to render a KUDO.
Please click Accept as Solution, just to the right of my reply if your problem is solved.
PS--You can render both Solution and KUDO
