My HP Pavillion s3500t will not boot up - when I press the power switch, the fan starts spinning, but I get a 15-second beep, 15 secs of silence, 15-secs of beep, repeating several times. No video appears on the monitor at all.
HP folks said since this is an obsolete model, they are unable to remotely troubleshoot the system. Best Buy refuses to work on it since I did not buy it from them, so looking for suggestions to determine if this PC is salvageable.

Biil, welcome to the forum.
Here is a guide to HP Beep Codes:

You will have to determine which BIOS version that you have in the motherboard. Then, you can check the guide to see what the beeps mean that you are getting. Is the computer salvageable? You have to make that call. It depends on the outcome of your research and the cost to correct it.
