m8530f - Resolution

On the HP Mediacenter m8530f I cannot go higher then 1280x1024 for a main display resolution.

I am using the secondary video card (not the onboard one) and it will not let me up the resolution.

I am looking for 1600x1200 at least.

It did not work with the install/shipped drivers. Or with the 178.24_geforce_winvista_64bit_english_whql version that I just downloaded.

Any ideas??

Re: m8530f - Resolution

Which video card are you using?  Do you know what the maximum resolution is for the card?  Installing the latest correct drivers for the video card would probably fix your issue if it can handle higher resolutions.

Re: m8530f - Resolution

What monitor do you have? What size? Is it a 17 inch? If it is, than most likely that's the maximum resolution that lcd supports.

Re: m8530f - Resolution

I just let Windows Update update the GeForce 9200 256mb video board drivers to 8.15.11.8627.  I am running Vista 64x on a 7 gig machine.  All seems fine except that the mouse cursor gets lost on the right side of the screen.  It is like it thinks there is more screen off to the right.  I can seem to find a way to adjust it.  I am set at 1680x1050 32 bit highest resolution.

Anyway to fix this problem?
