m9265.uk BIOS and PSU questions

Hello guys, i hope you will be able to help me! I was wondering my model - m9265.uk has an unlocked bios from the motherboard manufacturer?  If i upgrade to that will my current system fail, e.g: Recovery, Memtest?

BTW what is the PSU wattage installed? 200w? 400w? I am going to upgrade to either 8800gt or ATI 4870 soon so i need to know.

One last question, i noticed when i turn my computer on, i hear q long rev (not the fans, they have a different noise) and it ends in a loud click and what sounds abit like static, do you  know what it is? And is it normal to stay at the HP boot screen longer when you first turn on the pc than restarting it? Thank you!

No to the bios. All you can do is update it.

Power supply should be okay. Regulated 460W power output, power factor correction (Bordeaux)

The noise you hear may be the HDD. Can also cause long boot times. I would make my recovery discs just incase the HDD goes bad. Open the case and listen closely.
