my hp pavilion slimline won't boot up. do i need a new power supply?

I have an HP pavilion slimline s7700n and earlier this week I shut it down for about 2 hours and it won't boot up now. I push the button and nothing happens. The green light in the back stays on but that's it. And when I pull the power cord out, the light stays on for up to 30 seconds and then fades out. It was even blinking at one point but stopped when I pulled the cord out and put it back in. A few weeks before all this happened, the computer randomly shut itself and kept doing so when I would turn it back on like it wasn't getting enough power. It finally stayed on after a few tries. I've tried the voltage switch, I tried cleaning the dust, changing the power cord, checking the wires, I had the harddrive tested (no problem there, thank God) the only other things would be the PS or the motherboard. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance.

Apparently, if it's a motherboard issue, I'm supposed to hear a beep code. There was never any beep code. There was never any sort of noise. Not even the fans come on. It really seems like a power supply issue to me. I would really you guys' input.

Hi,

Unplug the PC and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Now plug the PC in see what happens.  Post your results.

Try this procedure and see if you can isolate the issue. Trouble Shooting Power Supply Issues. Don’t skip any steps. Post your results.

i have the same problem after installing a new graphic card. Can you please tell me where you bought your new card from as I cant find a suitable 400 anywhere.
