I would like to upgrade the 270w power supply in my Pavilion s5-1021p to 500-600w and replace the integrated graphics with a Radeon 4650 video card. Is this possible, due to size constraints? Any help is appreciated!!

Yes if your HD 4650 is low profile.
Another example for low profile video card are listed here
The power supply I think you can find it, but not sure where?
Can you open your case and list your power supply model number? you have to know the measurement coz its very important to shop after that, your product is new model just released last month

Well I have verified that changing the power supply is not an option, as it is integrated. So I would like to know now which video cards would be an option for upgrade. I was looking at the Radeon HD 5570, but I want to make sure that the power requirements will be supported by this PC. If not this card, can anyone recommend others? From what I can get from product specs the power supply is 220w (100v-240v) 270w what does this mean in terms of available wattage in my psu?
System specs are:
Processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core E6700
Memory: 4 GB DDR3
DVD RW Super Multi DVD burner drive
Hard Drive: 500 GB 7200 rpm

According to HP Partsufer, the power supply in your PC is not integrated since it has a separate part number. This is also confirmed by the information in the HP Partner Services Library. The PSU listed in HP Partsurfer is 220 watts.
Look here at HP Partsurfer for video cards that are used in the newer Slimline models with a 220 watt power supply. These cards were manufactured specially for HP Slimline PCs with 220 watt power supplies.
You should contact HP Support and get a video card recommendation or perhaps even HP Partsurfer.
