Have been using Headphones, no problems. Now, no sound and getting "Audio Service not running" "no sound devices present." Went into "Services.msc" and tried to start "Windows Audio" got "Error 1068: The Dependency Service or Group Failed to Start". Tried to start " Windows Audio Endpoint Builder" got "Error 1722: The RPC server is unavailable." Searched everywhere for a resolution. Tried several of suggested fixes, still not working. Went into device manager, Sound, video and game controllers, AMD High Definition Audio Device and IDT High Definition Audio CODEC are fine , both are working properly. This was working fine before, what the heck happened? I have no sound now!
My system is an HP Pavilion HPE Series, Model No: h8-1160t
Less than a year old.

Hi Ravenwing,
Try using the Microsoft Fixit for audio problems to help troubleshoot the issue.
BTW. It always helps when you post the installed operating system. We can't possibly know that without a little help from you. ![]()
