I am downgrading my hp pavilion 500-210 to windows 7.  But I can't find the drivers for the network controller Realtek RTL8151GH-CG.  I check the realtek website and I can't find the exact model number there.  Also, I can't find the right driver for the USB 3.0 on board either, anybody has any idea?  motherboard number is IPM87-MP.  Thank you.

Hi:

You can get the usb 3.0 driver from Intel if that board has the intel usb 3.0 controller.

Did you try the PCIe gigabit ethernet driver from realtek despite it not listing that model nic?

Try the 3rd one on the list.

Thanks a lot.

I tried the USB 3.0 and it works.

For the realtek one, even though I believed I tried the 3rd option b4 and it complained about hardware not found (or something similar), I did try the first option just now, and it works.  Thank you again.

Now I compare the device list from windows 8 for my desktop, it looks like i am still missing two more drivers.  One for the Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 WiFi Adapter and the other one is Network Infrastructure Devices Cisco 18588.  Do you happen to know where I can find those drivers too?

You're very welcome.

Below is the link to the Atheros wireless card driver from the HP Probook 4540s which should work just fine since they install the same cards in desktop PC's.

As for the Network Infrastructure Device Cisco 18588, that device is not your PC's hardware.  Might be your router or some other peripheral you have networked to the PC?

I found a similar issue on the Microsoft forum...

What can I say, you are the best.  The Qualcomm Atheros link also works for my desktop.  So all my devices now have the right drivers.

Thanks a lot again!

Anytime!

Glad to have been of assistance.

Thank you for this post. I've been struggling to get a ProOne 400 G1 demo to talk with SCCM 2007.

I find it ridiculous that HP doesn't list this essential driver on their ProOne 400 driver page.

You're very welcome.

Yes, it is very odd that HP has slipped up there -- especially on the business PC side of the house.

They also have non working Intel ethernet drivers for the dc7700 and dc7800 models as well.

You have to use the ethernet driver directly from Intel.
