I have a new HP Pavilion Phoenix h9-1150t with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I added two hard drives from my old Dell XPS Windows XP for extra storage. The hard drives in the Dell were connected in a Raid1 (mirror) configuration. I formatted the drives, ran diskpart clean up, removed the partitions. The HP still only reads one of the drives instead of two. In the device manager, the drive is listed as Intel Raid 1 Volume SCSI Disk Device. On the bios screen, both drives are listed separately so I know they are connected correctly. When I disable the driver in device manager, the drive disappears from the computer. When the driver is enabled, it only shows up as one drive in the disk management. In addition, when the HP boots up, a screen from my old Dell shows up briefly showing the Raid ARRAY. How can I get rid of the Raid configuration so I can use both drives as independent storage devices.
I would appreciate any help on this matter. Thanks, John

Solved the problem myself. Managed to access the Raid controller facility upon boot and removed the raid configuration on both added hd's.Now they are listed as seperate.
