is there possible burn out on these computers. mine just did. power cut off all of a sudden . burning smell .customer service says they cannot see any burn  marks on the board  glancing at pics  i had sent so they are unhelpful. 

 

any help/suggestions/reasons  would be gratefully accepted.

There is the standard PSU guide, offered by HP. Follow each step.

After the tests (above) , if you suspect the power supply, then replace it.  You need to find an exact replacement in physical size, and ATX plug, because this PSU is a Slimline and is alleged (by vendor) to use a miniature 24pin ATX plug.  I have included a link, as a reference. You should shop it in the UK.
