z400 LED blinks 6 times, Help?

  My HP Z400 workstation power red LED  blinks 6 times and beep when power on .  I already reseat the vedio card and replaced with a good vedio card .The problem still was not solved . Please help on this, Thanks.

Hi:

 

6 blinks/beeps does indicate a video error.

 

Do you have onboard video on your PC?  If so, try booting up without an add on video card installed.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I checked my PC, It doesn't have a onboard vedio .  My Z400 P/N is VS933AV and vedio card is FX1800.

Is it possible the video card you installed is not compatible?

 

Below is the list of supported video cards for the z400.

 

FZ347AV     NVIDIA Quadro NVS 295 256MB Graphics Card

 

WS070AV   NVIDIA Quadro 2000 1GB Graphics Card
