1. Pavilion dv5 1127 cl
2. Vista
3. None
4. None
This started happening randomly, and I am honestly not sure why it is occurring. My computer randomly enters this state where the screen is filled up with colored lines, and all I can do is turn it off and restart it. It only takes like 20 minutes after being turned on again to re-enter this state, however sometimes it won't enter it for a while. (Hence me being able to post this)

Interestingly enough, the first dozen times it happened the screen was mostly back with evenly balanced colored lines. Just recently, earlier today, the screen took on a bluish tint as it displayed the lines, and even more recently a greenish tint (as seen in the pictures).

Looks like video chip failing. You might consider the service here which several members have used with good results. The link to his 'About Me' page has email & phone info if you want to ask opinion about your laptop before committing.
