I have a Pavilion p6310y with the m2n78-la (violet6) motherboard was having the issue when it went into sleep mode, so i decided to update the bios via HP's update software to fix the specific problem the update announced it would fix. Unfortunately it installed the wrong BIOS rendering the motherboard useless.
I did check to see if there was a way to load BIOS in case of a fail with the install. All I found was instructions for M2N78-LA (Violet, Violet3) which have floppy parallel connectors in which case you can load BIOS via Floppy, and of course the “Violet6” version does not have it nor does it have PS2 keyboard (USB only), if it matters.
Does anyone know of a way to load BIOS?
FYI, fans spin, no video out and i have tried to reset the CLEAR_CMOS and CLEAR_PW at the same time
