Error Msg:"Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media

Need help figuring out this error msg....

I recently installed a new power supply to a HP Media Center PC m1070n...

now i get the above referenced error msg......"Reboot and Select proper Boot device"

I do not have any recovery discs or OS discs.....any recommendations?

try resetting bios to default. during startup press F1. inside bios press F5 > select yes > then F10 to save and exit. and also try to see if bios can detect your HDD. hope this will help you.

I'd verify that the cabling to the Hard Disk Drive is tight, etc.

Both ends of the SATA drive cables - motherboard and hard drive.  Also the power connector to the hard drive.

If you have more than one hard disk drive in the system, the first one the PC will see is the one connected to the "black" connector on the motherboard.

I reconnected the power supply cable to the hard drive ...the machined booted up......Thanks for the help
