Freezing monitor/whole computer

My computer randomly freezes and then the screen says "Monitor going to sleep" and then the whole computer shuts down--regardless of whatever you were doing--and then restarts, with no explanation. Antivirus says there are no viruses or anything, and malwarebytes comes up with nothing. Any ideas and/or solutions? I have an HP Media Center PC m7357c.

Re: Freezing monitor/whole computer

HI

while turning the comp on try Hitting F8 key on the top of the keyboard it will take you to an advanced boot options

try selecting "disable automatic restart onsystem failure"

this time the comp will not shut down it will give you a blue screen let me know what it says over there

Re: Freezing monitor/whole computer

Thanks for answering. I will try in the morning, my dad has some scan running on the desktop and he won't let me interrupt it.
