HP PAVILION DV2500 FINGERPRINT PROBLEM

Hi there I have a HP PAVILION DV2500 which had Windows Vista Ultimate but then upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate.My Fingerprint Scanner was working normally while on Windows 7 Ultimate and Vista.But then my HDD malfunctioned and I got an new one and reinstalled windows 7 everything is working apart from my fingerprint reader.Please does anyone know the Solution?
