HP Pavilion f70 model D5064s displays for a few second, then goes blank

I have already replaced the ac adaptor still each time i unplug the ac power or the pc connection the screen displays for no

longer than 2 seconds. Could this be the video card in pc. or do you think I need to replace monitor.
