I have an HP Pavilion p7xt that "flashes" when playing Windows Solitaire. The longer I play it, the slower it gets. It's done this almost since I bought it in January. Any ideas if this is a serious problem for the computer as a whole, or just a quirk in the game? Thanks.

Hi candomparty,
Can you be a little more specific with the "flashing" your experiencing? Is the whole screen flashing? Just the Solitaire window? Items inside the Solitaire window?
This might help to understand the specific problem you are having.

The Solitaire game that I use, by the way, is the standard Windows 7 Home Premium version.
A couple of things happen. The whole screen goes dark for much less than a second, several times. The Solitaire game itself slows down, and clicking on a card may take two or three clicks to make it respond, while down below, the Solitaire icon on the pinned toolbar (I can't remember what MS calls it) keeps "bouncing" sideways, sometimes as many as seven or eight times as it looks like it's trying to "catch up."
Sorry that it's a little hard to describe. Thanks
