Laggy PC & My graphics card model.

HP Pavilion Elite HPE-501f Desktop PC
Product Number:   bv647aa

Windows 7 64 Bit

No changes were made, only 1 game installed that I uninstalled.

I have run 6 different Anti-Virus's and Anti Malwares none detected anything

My computer use to be pretty fast and I dont know why lately, its been really laggy. I feel like I am running a Pentium 4 with 1 core.

It use to be super speed. Ive tried deleting the stuff I dont want, I have 500 GB free of 1 TB, I tried De-frag and Registery deframenter. I dont know what else to do, any help would be appreciated

Question numb 2.

Alright so my graphics card is Readon 6770, and after I got the updates from AMD website it renamed it to 5700 series, any help on this would be appreciated also.

Re: Laggy PC & My graphics card model.

Woifx, welcome to the forum.

Since the driver is not recognizing the card properly, I suggest uninstalling it and installing the Catalyst Control Suite.  The Suite will allow you to control the fan speed and overclock the card in you desire.  Remember, more speed will create more heat.  This is when to increase the fan speed.  A driver that seems to have conflicts can cause the slowness that you are experiencing, as well.

Re: Laggy PC & My graphics card model.

The problem is the drivers I got was from the HP support, and I already tried uninstallin and re-installing.

The lag shouldnt be related to my card, its like my CPU. Or Something

And CCC doesnt even allow me to change my fan speed..

I am concerned with all those "I have run 6 different Anti-Virus's and Anti Malwares none detected anything".

Of the above, what is running full time. Too many of these at the same time can cause serious problems.

Are you still running anything from Norton Symantic? If not, did you use the Norton Removal Tool", otherwise the core element is still running. See :https://www-secure.symantec.com/norton-support/jsp/help-solutions.jsp?docid=20080710133834EN&product...

You need to call the manufacturer's support center for that card, and relay the driver that was renamed / downloaded.
