Laptop, Pavilion g6 - 2048ca, windows 7 64-bit. Laptop freezes when on youtube.

My laptop freezes when on youtube. After 20 or 30 minutes its locks-up and I can't do anything about it. The only way to reboot is to hold down the power button. I've had this problem with Mozilla Firefox AND Google Chrome. I have tried disabling the hardware acceleration under The Adobe settings but it still continues to freeze.
Is this a software issue, hardware issue? If its a hardware issue, please tell me whats wrong and likewise with a software issue.
Any help is appreciated.

Heat is what you look for first in a laptop. Here is a nice program many people use to look at temperature:
