No rhyme or reason... bought it from e-Cost and it is a refurb... so I now own the problem.... Out of the box it has been freezing. on th einternet... or doing nothing... it freezes and the only way out is to turn the unit off and reboot, I have rebuilt the system with disk i purchased from HP... no help... System works great for the minutes it works... Hae not been up for more than 30 muinutes... ever
Not sure what else to do or try...

Hi,
Check the bios level against the latest bios 6.07 level that is posted.
Try this procedure:
Unplug the PC and open it up. Clean out all the dust. Carefully remove and replace all the cables going to the motherboard one at a time. Do the same for the memory dimms and the video and sound cards if you have any. You might want to buy a can of compressed air to blow the dust out of the CPU heat sink. Plug your PC back in and give it a go.
Try this bootable memory diagnostic CD. Download memtest86 iso file and burn it to disk using Imgburn.
