Go to Start, Control Panel, Classic View, Device Manager, Mice and other pointing devices, if you see a yellow bang on a PS/2 mouse (probably your touchpad), opt to Uninstall the driver and reboot.

Hi,

This is my answer on Your PM.

A

If You installed driver through Windows Update:

On boot press F8 and choose Safe mode.

Go to Control Panel -> Devices Manager -> Mouse and other pointing devices

and find there touchpad. Click on it with right button of Your mouse and choose uninstall driver.

Install this one:

Alps touchpad here

B

If You upgraded from Vista to Win7:

Uninstall old driver for touchpad from system.

Resources:

Uninstalling Software in Windows 7

Uninstall or change a program in Windows 7

When You will do this

Install this one:

Alps touchpad here

I'm not sure then this will solve Your problem. If not we will be trying something else. :smileyhappy:
One question. It was working ok under previous system and problem started after upgrade to Win7?
