My wife has a 1-year old HP Slimline s5610F. A couple of days ago, her system shut down without any error messages. At first I assumed that perhaps her system overheated, so I cleaned out the inside of the case with canned air. This didn't fix the problem.
All of the fans are working and the built-in diagnostics show that all of the core components are still working. Could the power supply be failing?

Necator, welcome to the forum.
I believe that you may have solved your own problem. It definitely sounds like a failing power supply unit (PSU). You have done everything else that I would have suggested. Here is a guide that will help you troubleshoot the problem.
