There isn't any next PC as of yet. After 2 HP puters, I decided to wait a while before buying again.

At least you were lucky enough to bail.
A lot of us are sharing your perspective. Desktops seem to be in a rut now. After many years of building my own, I decided to buy one based on the strength of an Acer I bought for the wife at CircuitCity. After CircuitCity and CompUSA went away I went to Best Buy due to limited choices. Their product line is HP based so guess what? Here I am on the forums.

my hp won't boot up, the light is on, the fan is working, but won't boot up. i took to have the specialist look diagnostic and they told me that its the mother board. i was disapointed so i try to trouble shoot it myself. i have a feeling its not the mother board. so i turn on the computer, and i unplug the wire that is connected to the mother board and turn on button and it boot right up. you just can't turn off now since the turn on button is unplug. help this help.,
