Pavilion dv2125nr wont boot

Power is on, fan is on, all LED lights are on, screen is black, light is on on the CD drive, but the notebook will not boot. Originally, this happened occasionally but now it will not boot all the time.

 

I have tried the system discharge by removing the battery and power plug, then pressing the power button for at least  6 seconds. This step did not work. Any ideas?
