Hi,
Try using WhoCrashed Home edition (this is a free utility) to see what is causing this issue on your PC. The utility will tell you which driver is causing the crash.
regards,
erico

Third blue screen on this unit with the same message: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE.
Erico, thank you for the lead on WhoCrashed Home Edition. After running, this application reports back "No Crash Dump".

Check out this other thread on the same issue:
http://h30434.www3.hp.com/psg/board/message?board.
One of the many blue screens I got with my e9180t was a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. I suspect that some of my problems were caused by a HW bug, and some by SW bugs, but I really don't know. If you recently installed any Windows updates or new drivers, you might try rolling that back to see if the problem goes away again, since your machine sounds pretty stable before this point.

PDXpat: I had this message on a Blue Screen on my e9150t. It was shortly after I had problems reading from my Maxtor One-Touch Plus (750GB) backup drive. The Sytem Event Log shows the drive timed out (event ID 9), then the next log entry shows the unexpected shutdown message (ID 6008). There is no mention of a Blue Screen in between. Be that as it may, do you have any external devices attached?
You may not, but another Maxtor user had the same message/bluescreen failure hooking a One-Touch up to a 64-bit system. I have not had the message again since the Maxtor went back to Costco.

Problem appears to be solved (fingers crossed). I have run nearly 1 week without a blue screen.
Solution to the problem appears to be getting Vista 64-Bit drivers for attached devices. Primarily the driver for the HP PSC 1500 inkjet printer/scanner seems to be the main culprit.
Thank you everyone for the helpful advice.
