PavillionSlimline-s3620f w/Vista Frozen. Message, Ädobe Flash Player stpped working Windows chking

Was on BBC viewing a vidio clip when the message, Ädobe Flash Player has Stopped Working. Windows is checking""  then "Windows Has Closed Program and Will Notify You If A sSolution Is Available"."   Powered down pc in usual fashion.  Now unit only makes series of beeps/sounds when turned on.  Monitor does recieve power, shows="no input sig." then blank. No dust, fans go on, green light on p.c.back near power cord port lights up.  The beep sound is approx. 16-18 seconds long and repeats .  Cannot get to any menues, screen stays black.  No previos issus.  What happened, is it teminal?  Suggestions appreciated.
