Recovering from Blue Screen HP Pavillion a6667c Vista 64 bit Home Premium

System is not responding after unplugging power & rebooting.  Blue screen options are F10=Setup, Esc=Boot Menu, F11=System Recovery, F9 Diagnostics.   But it does not respond to any of those, except it will say "Entering Setup" if I hit F10 - but then doesn't proceed.

I do not have recovery cd for this computer and could not find them to order from hp.com for this specific computer.  Do you have them?

Also curious to know how to tell if the computer will try to read from the CD drive if there is a recovery CD in the drive on reboot.   I suspect I could check / change bios setting.   But again, computer currenyly dosen't respond to F10

Any and all recommendations on how to recover / reset this computer is greatly appreciated

Try a hard reset:

Try to start the machine with the battery removed and just the power adaptor.

Try to start the machine with just one memory chip installed and try both slots.  Then insert the other chip and try both slots.  If you only have one memory chip, at least try the other slot.  Remove the battery and power adaptor when changing the memory around.

This is not a notebook where I can remove the battery.   I did drain the power / disconnected everything.   Then powered back up with just the external mouse, keyboard, and monitor connected but recieved same results

Can you get to your hard drive to remove it?  I am thinking that you can attach it to a desktop and do a check disk on it.  It would be interesting to see if you can get into bios with the hard drive removed as well.  I am concerned that you can not get into the bios.  I hope it isn't a corrupt bios.
