1.  Each month HP declares urgent updates are available.  I agree and the installation begins.  Every installation receives a red x and the note installation cancelled.

Hp then asks if I would like to send feedback.  Monthly I respond.  Hp does not.

2.  After installing IE 8, I noticed that I no longer can use chat support, "Browser Not supported."    Can you help me get back to a point that I can use chat suppor?

3. I have started up in minimum mode, turned offf all but vital processses and services and still computer dropsout and freezes and hangs up.  I need to be able to control any background operations.  Using home studio cakewalk  software used to be a dream until I got this hp.  Can you suggest any more ways I can turn background operations off so that dropouts will not occur?

Thank you.

Re: Update

What PC do you have? We need a product number and/or model number.  There are sometimes updates to the HP Update program that resolve the first issue.

Re: Update

Don't use IE8 and stick to IE7 for now ebcause it's more stable and compatible.

IF HP Updates don't go through go to hp.com, search for your pc model/product number and it will give you the drivers and downloads section will a list of updates starting the top and you can download and install individually.

HP doesn't come with updates very often.

Re: Update

In I.E. 8 on the right side of the window click TOOLS>Compatibilty View Settings> and at the bottom check Display all websites in compatibilty view.

I.E. 8 is way more stable then I.E.7. Since I installed it I have had no I.E. hangups or crashes.
