I have had my laptop for over 2 years never had any complaints until now the fan gets warm even though have cooling device also when playing games either download or from a disc after a while the screen goes blank and cant get it to switch off have to take out battery to start it up again, this has only happened in the last couple of weeks goes ok for a while, thought it was because downloaded too many games but have unnistalled still happens, it doesnt do it when just on internet though dont spend a long time on the internet, wonder if it is using too much power, hope somone can help me. thanks.

Your video chip is over heating and is in failure mode. You can try to clean out your fan with a vacuum cleaner or a can of compressed air in the reverse direction of the normal air flow. I wall of dust can accumulate on the inside edge of the heatsink near the fan blades. If you are this far along, I think you will have to take it to a good shop and have the video chip reflowed or reballed. Try a household fan blowing on the laptop to see if that helps as well. I think the problem will just continue to degrade until you just get a blank screen or solid colors and freeze.
