Hi All,
It "appears" to freeze but then proceeds; that is, at the initial Windows Vista boot screen having the progress bar at the bottom of a black screen. The colored bars stop moving for quite some time and then resume. It seems to take way too long before it starts moving again and finished booting
NOTES: I just ran HP Recovery to reinstall Vista Home Premium on an m9400f for a friend. At first, I tried re-installing Vista using the HP Recovery Disks provided but was getting a BSOD (nvstor.sys) and then tried a set of "Geek Squad" disks that she provided for me that worked. The BIOS is still set to boot from a CD first but I don't imagine that would cause this issue since Windows is already booting from the HDD.
Any ideas on this issue and/or a pointer on how to completely rebuild this Vista OS on this machine would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance! - FreddoB
