Ive got a Presario sr5700 desktop I was trying to do a recovery on, I keep getting an 100c error and then it just reboots and goes right back to the error. What is the best way to clear this so it will boot back to the os so I can create recovery dvds?
Im not sure if taking the cmos battery out will do the trick or not. I have booted into safe mode with networking and the error still pops up and when I click ok it reboots so cant get anywhere I have all my data already backed up Tried booting with a linux cd, is there a way to just format the c: drive and then when it reboots into recovery it should let me reinstall?
Thanks in advance for the help!

There didn't seem to be an exact match for sr5700. What is the exact product number?
