Hi, thatgirl:

I think you meant a 5150 right?

First install the chipset driver and reboot. That should take care of the smbus controller.

Then install the video driver and reboot.

Same question; the hardware info is:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3582&SUBSYS_3084103C&REV_02\3

HP Pavilion laptop ze4900, with the recovery software installed after replacing the internal drive; XP Pro

trying to figure out why it freezes and has to be power cycled a few times a day; ram checks out, this is the only oddity I find --- the automated checkup feature at HP does not identify this problem but it reports a problem each time it boots and then can't find the driver it wants

(PS -- a while back someone else with a ze4900 asked this and the answer he got was:

I've tried that -- it doesn't find what's missing.

I hope the hardware info posted lets someone give a link to the missing driver.

Hi:

The hardware ID you posted indicates that this driver from the ze4900 support and driver page should work.

That is an Intel Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller in your notebook, and you see on the driver info, that this driver is for that adapter.

Your computer came with NVidia GeForce 6600 graphics card. You can download its drivers from here. You need to select  6 series and the correct OS.

Hi:

For windows 7, this is the driver you need.

If it doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you.
