HP Pavilion running XP, can I upgrade to windows 7 or 8?

I have a pavilion d4100e (product PX191AV#ABA) running windows xp. I want to know if the computer can be upgraded to windows 7 or windows 8. I would like to know before I buy the update, if possible. Any information would be greatly appreciated. PC has AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core processor 4400 2.19GHz. Thanks in advance. John

Hi:

You can run the W7 Upgrade advisor at the link below and see what it reports.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/downloads/upgrade-advisor

If it reports it can run windows 7, then you can run the Windows 8 or 8.1 upgrade assistants at the link below and see what they report.

Looking at the specs on the product support page, it is hard for me to determine, but it doesn't look promising.
