Intel Graphics Kernel Mode Driver 82945G Express Chipset Family

[ Edited ]

Under Perfomance Information and Tools, I am getting a message that displays- Drivers are causing Windows to resume slowly and from sleep mode. The Drivers are: Intel Graphics Kernel Mode Driver 82945G Express Chipset Family and Radial Point Miniport. The computer is made by Compaq Presario PC, it is a Windows Vista 32- bit operating system and the model number is SR5210NX.  I would like to know what do I need to do to fix this issue.  Thanks!

What model PC are you using and what operating system?

Have you made any recent hardware or software changes?

Try this command from the RUN window:

cmd

sfc/scannnow --- this will verify your critical system files and attempt repairs

exit

Then try this:

  1. Intel Chip Set update  Intel chipset update utility
  2. Intel Driver Update Utility  Intel Driver Update Utility

Unplug all your external USB devices except monitor, keyboard and mouse and see if the problem still occurs.

Are you on VISTA service pack 2 or later?

You didn't answer my question about recent hardware and software changes.

Look in  the Event Viewer logs for errors.

I'm not able to access this command you gave me: cmd/sfc/scannnow.

To the best of my knowledge there is no hardware or software changes.

Re: Intel Graphics Kernel Mode Driver 82945G Express Chipset Family

I have the same error message about resuming slowly on a laptop G71-340US, even after installing the most recent chipset drivers (Feb 4, 2010 version.)  The error says the problem is with igdkmd64.sys Intel Kernel Mode driver.  The Intel site told me to go to the HP site.  Things seem to be working, so I guess this is not important enough to fix.

Jackson442,

cmd     ----> is one command then hit the enter key. Next enter sfc/scannow then hit the enter key --- ditto for exit
