Problems with Catalyst Control Center

[ Edited ]

I'm having a problem with the subject program reporting that it is unable to start.

Both mom.exe and ccc.exe will start but stop immediately reporting that Catalyst Control Center failed to start.

The event viewer shows:

I'm not sure if the above has anything to do with the problem but posted it in case it does.

System is a HP p6733w.

System Specs

Any help as to how to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

On Edit: not sure why all the smiley are showing up, it wasn't my intention.

Re: Problems with Catalyst Control Center

Hi:

You may want to just download and install the latest AMD graphics driver and CCC from the AMD website and see if that clears up your issues. It has worked for others.

Just use the drop down menus to find the driver and CCC for your graphics card.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the reply.

I intend to try to update the drivers and software. Thought maybe there was a specific reason why the problem showed up and an easy fix. Like "free" things there is no such thing as "free" or an easy fix.

Thanks again.
