Re: how do i launch touch screen on my laptop using windows 8?

When requesting assistance please provide the full HP model name and/or product number of the computer in question.

Most HP laptops do not have a "touchscreen" and Windows 8 will not make a computer a "touchscreen". To use Windows 8 touchscreen features, you need a computer that has touchscreen hardware and software.

Re: how do i launch touch screen on my laptop using windows 8?

Hi,

Your post is under desktop forum therefore I believe your screen in an external screen and Windows 8 does not have a magic wand to make a normal screen to a touch screen.

Hope this makes sense.

Re: how do i launch touch screen on my laptop using windows 8?

The laptop still has to have touchscreen capabilites for that to work.

As lasvegaswireman says"When requesting assistance please provide the full HP model name and/or product number of the computer in question."

Hi,

Sorry, your post is in a wrong forum. Anyway, is it a brand new machine ? What is it ? Many, many new machines now still do not have touch screens.

Regards.

I have a hp pavilion g7-2217cl with Synaptks touch pad v7.5.  I have Logitech wireless mouse hooked up to it.  Would the mouse have anything to do with it.

Here is the spec page for that laptop: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03493974&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...

I see nothing about touchscreen capabilities for the display.
