Hi,

Can you post back with the following details.

The full Model No. and Product No. of your computer - see Here for a guide on locating this information.

The full version of the operating system you are using ( ie Windows 7 64bit ).

Regards,

Hi,

You're welcome :smileyhappy:

Download the latest version of HP 3D DriveGuard on the following link and save it to your Downloads folder.

http://h30642.www3.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp66001-66500/sp66078.exe

When done, open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the entry for HP 3D DriveGuard and select Uninstall.

When the uninstall has completed, restart the notebook.

When windows has reloaded, open your Downloads folder, right click the HP 3D DriveGuard installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.

When this has completed, restart the notebook again.

Regards,

Hi,

As long as the error message has gone, that sounds about right.  The size of the installation package is also correct.

The latest version doesn't show in Windows 8 programs list - clicking the small upward arrow in the Taskbar should show an entry for HP 3D DriveGuard, however the only right click options are 'About' and 'Information'.

Also, it will show in the list of installed programs under the 'Programs and Features' list and can be located in C;\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard.

Re: on start up i get this in a box , Accelerometer st.exe-system error mfc 110 udll is missing

Hi,

A quick way of checking if it's installed and working Ok is as follows.

Right click an empty area of the Taskbar and select Properties.

Next to 'Notification area:' click the Customize button.

Look for an entry called HP Accelerometer System Tray.

If this is listed, select 'Show icon and notifications' in the dropdown box.

Click OK to save the change.

You should now see an icon for HP 3D DriveGuard on the right hand side of the Taskbar.

Regards,
