Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Sorry but I posted in the wrong area, but I have a machine no longer supported, but still a good machine for a 2nd PC. I upgraded to Win10 and all worked fine. After the anniversary update (version 1607) I lost sound. My audio end point driver did not install. Could someone please help in which compatable driver I can install. Thank you & all help will be appreaciated.

Hi @10beers

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Forums,

I understand that you lost the audio on your computer after you installed the anniversary update for Windows 10. I would like to provide my suggestion.

Recommend you to uninstall the anniversary update and check if it helps. As the product you are referring to is Retired. Click here to know more.

You will need to rely on Microsoft for generic drivers.

Alternately, you can install and run HP Support Assistant to check if there are any driver detected for your computer. Click here for assistance.

The procedure to rollback the Anniversary update is.

Open Settings from the Windows Menu.

Select Update and Security.

Select Recovery, on the right side you will have the option to go back to an earlier build.

Hope this answered your question.

If the information I've provided was helpful,

Good Luck.

Thank you Chimney_83..I thought about reverting to the previous version, but figured MS would just hit me with another update. I will try the other options & report later. Thank you again.

I haven't reverted back to the previous version yet, but I'll probably do it today. I also haven't gotten much help from MS (surprise surprise). I wanted to thank you for you help, it's nice to know that there are still people willing to help. So thank you & I'm sure I'll be back for more help at another time.
