I've done this multiple times, it does not work for me. Am I going to have to reinstall Windows or something to get around having to type in a password everytime the computer goes to sleep. I've searched for a solution for this for months.

You want to disable the password.
Go to the bottom right hand corner and click settings
Then go to change PC settings.
Go to users
On the right hand side there should be an option to CHANGE no user has to use a password to sign into this computer.
Right click on the desktop screen.
Select screen saver.
Uncheck the box that says on resume display logon screen.
Go to start screen.
Type power options.
Select power options.
On the right hand side, select change power options.
Select change advanced power settings.
Under require password on wake up change to no
Let me know how everything goes.

Thank you!!! I had tried both options 1 and 3 in the past, more than once. Actually, what did it was option 2, with the screensaver. I had my screen saver selected to NONE. I chose one, and unchecked the box to resume the logon screen. It seems to be working. Who would have ever guessed that! I cannot thank you enough! I've been searching for this answer since I got this computer back in December.

You saved a lot of frustration at our household!
