dc7800
Microsoft Windows XP

Hello,

I have an issue with my small form factor HP dc7800 desktop PCI serial controller card when  I look in the device manager it is showing with the little exclamation mark and yello question mark. Also an error when I open the properties it says it missing the driver. I did try reinstalling it but cannot find the appropriate drivers. There is also another card that shows an error.

I have added the device id's below. Please help!

PCI\VEN_135C&DEV_01C0&SUBSYS_01C0135C&REV_01

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_29B7&SUBSYS_2818103C&REV_02

Thanks

Happy!

Hi:

For the Intel 8086 PCI Serial Port, you need this driver...

http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=3459243&swItemId=vc_78665_2&swEnvOid=1093

The other device's hardware ID decodes to a Quatech DSC-100 PCI Two-Port RS-232 Serial Adapter.

I have zipped up and attached the driver you need from the manufacturer's website (Under Attachments below).

Download and unzip the file to a folder.

You will have to manually install the driver as there is no setup.exe file.

Go to the device manager, click on the PCI\VEN_135C&DEV_01C0 device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab, click on update driver.  Select the manual search and browse to the driver folder you unzipped\qserbrd, and the driver should install.
