Pavilion HPE Series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I keep getting "system thread exception not handled" message and the computer keeps rebooting.  This appears to be related to a recent automatic upgrade from HP.

As it starts to reboot, repeatedly tap the 'F8' key, until Windows shows a "start-up" screen.

One of the options is to use "System Restore" -- to restore your computer to its status before those updates were applied.

Try it.

I get no reaction from the F8 key as the computer reboots.  Any other input?

Supposedly, after a few consecutive "failed" reboots of Windows 10, that "recovery" screen should automatically appear.

So, as it starts to boot, i.e,. showing the "splash" screen, hold-down the ON/OFF button until it turns off (10 to 15 seconds).

Power-on, and repeat a few times, to "force" the issue.
