What is HP ESU for Windows 10 and do I need it.

ESU stand for Essential System Updates, HP ESU for Microsoft Windows 10 is a program developed by Hewlett-Packard. The most used version is 1.0.1, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. The setup package is about 1.57 MB (1,646,592 bytes) when downloaded.

If you have this software installed on your computer it will install all the essential updates for your computer. Alternately, you can also download and install HP support assistant and this will automatically download and install drivers and software updates.

My ESU has been crashing every day for the last week. Perfomance wise, the computer doesn't seem to care and appears to be working just fine.

Did a google search and found this fourm.

I had recently installed a HP 1102W printer, which is working just fine as well.

I am running windows 10 and wondering how I can avoid this crash from continueing every day?

"Alternate" versus "need" -- these are not synonyms.
